The Shubhra Kar Linux Foundation Training (LiFT) Scholarship Program aims to increase the diversity of open source technologies by providing training and certification opportunities to recipients. Since 2010, the Linux Foundation has sponsored over 3,000 passionate learners, developers, system administrators, and open source newcomers with millions of dollars worth of professional technical training. The program was renamed as the Shubhra Kar Linux Foundation Training (LiFT) Scholarship Program in 2022 in honor of Shubhra Kar, who served as the Chief Technology Officer of the Linux Foundation and tragically passed away in an accident at the beginning of 2022. The Shubhra Kar Linux Foundation Training (LiFT) Scholarship Program in China has been launched for four years, and last year, 100 winners were selected from a large number of applicants. Selected recipients can choose any one of LF official courses from the catalogue of LF Open Source Software Academy and take any one of LF official certification exams provided by the Linux Foundation with the learning and exam costs sponsored by LF Open Source Software Academy. Outstanding applicants might have the opportunity to receive the Open Source Star Award and to share an open source story.

1. Submission of Your Application: Please complete the application form. Successful candidates will be announced on the LFOSSA website and notified via email.
2. Authenticity of the Information: Please ensure the personal information you provide is accurate and you can attach relevant documents to prove your personal contributions, which will be helpful to your application.
3. Verification of Information: We will conduct verifications randomly to ensure all submitted personal information is real and valid.
4. Usage of the Scholarship: For successful applicants, the scholarship vouchers will be issued to your personal accounts in the portal directly. This scholarship is for your personal use only. If we believe the voucher codes have been sold or transferred to anyone else, your enrollment will be canceled.
